Our Customers

The Authority holds long-term contracts to supply water to our customers, usually 50-years. These customers include county-owned distribution systems, municipalities, and private entities, specifically:

• Cobb County
• Cherokee County
• Douglasville/Douglas County
  Water and Sewer Authority
• Marietta
• Austell
• Fulton County
• Powder Springs
• Smyrna
• Paulding County
• Mountain Park
• Woodstock
• Lockheed Martin Corporation
• Southern Polytechnic State University

The Authority provides water exclusively to Cobb County and the Cities of Austell, Marietta, Powder Springs, and Smyrna and is presently the only source of water for Paulding County. Fulton County, which purchased water from the Authority from the early 70s to the early 90s, developed another source of water on the Chattahoochee River and now has an interconnection with the Authority as a back-up water supply.
